Daily Plan

Meet your private driver at the airport and settle into the hotel. The day is intentionally unhurried, giving you time to rest and ease into Hainan's tropical climate.

Take the train to Wanning/Shenzhou Station through Hainan's countryside, then enjoy Boundary Island's clear water, coral coast, beach and choice of marine activities.

Ride the cable car over the harbour to Nanwan Monkey Island, then enjoy a traditional basket banquet at Binglanggu. Explore Li and Miao villages, heritage workshops and rainforest before a live cultural performance.

Visit Nanshan's 108-metre Guanyin statue, temple and Longevity Valley, followed by a vegetarian lunch. Continue to Tianya Haijiao for Hainan's blue sea, sculptural rocks and storied coastline.

Walk through Yalong Bay Rose Valley, then climb into Tropical Paradise Forest Park for mountaintop viewpoints, an optional glass walkway and sweeping views where rainforest meets the bay.

Fly from Sanya to Chengdu, where a private transfer takes you to the hotel. The rest of the day is kept relaxed before your Sichuan experiences begin.

Slow down in People's Park, sip gaiwan tea at Heming Teahouse and wander Kuanzhai Alley. Try a heritage ear-cleaning experience, with an optional neighbourhood Sichuan dinner and traditional opera in the evening.

Enter the extraordinary world of ancient Shu civilisation and explore the stories behind bronze sacred trees, towering figures, gold masks, ceremonial staffs and enigmatic protruding-eye masks.

Visit the Moon and Sun nurseries, panda villas and museum while learning about breeding, conservation and rewilding programmes.

Explore Sichuan culinary tools, recipes, archival photographs and the traditional craft of Pixian chilli-bean paste, with opportunities to see, hear, taste and cook. Transfer to the airport according to your departure time.
